Basketball Game Preview: Gallatin County Wildcats vs. Owen County Rebels

Gallatin County hasn't had much luck against Owen County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gallatin County Wildcats will take on the Owen County Rebels in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gallatin County challenged Anderson County on Friday. Gallatin County took a hard 65-50 fall against Anderson County. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Owen County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell just short of Grant County by a score of 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rebels have suffered since February 13th.

Having lost for the first time this season, Owen County fell to 4-1. As for Gallatin County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Gallatin County came up short against Owen County when the teams last played back in January, falling 73-66. Can Gallatin County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
