Softball Recap: College Park Comes Up Short

College Park lost against Archbishop Mitty back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-2 to the Monarchs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexis Weiler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

College Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Archbishop Mitty, their record now sits at 10-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. College Park will host Acalanes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Archbishop Mitty, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Saint Francis at 4:00 p.m. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Monarchs surely won't give up without a fight.
