Basketball Recap: Sedan Comes Up Short

If Sedan was feeling good fresh off their 56-31 takedown of Yates Center last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sedan Devils were dealt a 58-28 defeat at the hands of the Caney Valley Bullpups on Tuesday. The Devils have struggled against the Bullpups recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sedan's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Caney Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Sedan will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Neodesha on January 7, 2025. Caney Valley will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Nowata at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
