Baseball Game Preview: Massaponax Panthers vs. Stafford Indians

Massaponax hasn't had much luck against Stafford recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Panthers will challenge the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Massaponax came up short against North Stafford and fell 9-6.

Ethan Greene made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned two runs and two stolen bases. Will Platenik also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverbend.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Massaponax, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1.

Massaponax suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Stafford in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
