Volleyball Recap: Knox Comes Up Short

Knox lost against Jimtown last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Redskins fell 2-0 to the Jimmies.

Knox's offense was headlined by Lexi Salyers and Mady Hinshaw, who picked up four kills apiece. They were helped by Autumn Nowatzke and Marley Tessner, who contributed six assists each. Tessner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Knox has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Jimtown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Knox will square off against Culver Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jimtown, they will face off against Concord at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
