Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Finds Playoff Glory Versus River City

With a playoff win on the line, Kennedy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the River City Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 3-0).

Kennedy never let River City on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-23.

Jared Vaiz paced Kennedy's offense, picking up nine kills. Vaiz got some help from Troy Vue and his 24 assists. Owen Yang controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for River City, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Folsom on the 30th. River City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
