Recap: Lake-Lehman Knights vs. Lakeland Chiefs
The Lake-Lehman Knights lost against the Lakeland Chiefs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake-Lehman was beaten by Lakeland 50-7. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake-Lehman in their matchups with Lakeland: they've now lost six in a row.
Lakeland found their leader in underclassman David Naniewicz, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talin Vitzakovitch, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals.
Lake-Lehman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lakeland, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake-Lehman will square off against Mid Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mid Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Lakeland, they will head out on the road to face off against Lackawanna Trail at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
