Baseball Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

Columbus East fell victim to Floyd Central and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders. The match marked the first time this season in which the Olympians were not able to get on the board.

Columbus East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aj Tindell, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Tindell's first of the season.

Columbus East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Floyd Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus East will face off against Jeffersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Floyd Central, they will challenge Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
