Basketball Recap: Crowley County Find Success

If Walsenburg wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crowley County, they should've done a better job of containing Ashlyn Berg. The Crowley County Chargers claimed a resounding 59-17 victory over the Walsenburg Panthers thanks to Berg, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 boards. Crowley County is undefeated when Berg posts 20 or more points, but 6-8 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Brown, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 10 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Crowley County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Walsenburg, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
