Baseball Recap: Rock Falls Falls Short of Oregon in the Playoffs

Rock Falls and Oregon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Rock Falls had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Hawks. The Rockets just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ethan Mathews spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Rock Falls' loss dropped their record down to 12-18-1. As for Oregon, their victory bumped their record up to 13-17.

As of now, neither Rock Falls nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
