Basketball Recap: Pascagoula's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Pascagoula was the 25-19 winner over Moss Point when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pascagoula Panthers fell 39-29 to the Moss Point Tigers on Friday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 11-6 in the first quarter.

Moss Point's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordyn Ford, who went 5 of 11 en route to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Ford has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zaria Nettles, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Pascagoula's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Moss Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Pascagoula nor Moss Point have any future games scheduled.
