Softball Recap: Brandon Victorious

Brandon lost to Madison Central on Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Jaguars.

Ainsley Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Haleigh McClinton was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Lila Harrison, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Brandon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Madison Central, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Brandon and Madison Central will both be playing Warren Central the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will host the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
