Softball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Kennedy Eagles

Vallejo hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vallejo Redhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kennedy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Vallejo's offense. They came up short against El Cerrito on Wednesday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Redhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Kennedy also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 18-0 to Swett on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Vallejo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Kennedy, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Vallejo took their win against Kennedy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-7. Will Vallejo repeat their success, or does Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
