            Softball Recap: Timber Creek Regional Chargers vs. Triton Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Timber Creek Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  4-1 to the Triton Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  1-0  on April 2nd.
 Timber Creek Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kara Simpson, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.  Jayla Roman also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
Timber Creek Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Triton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record  this season.
 Timber Creek Regional will be playing at home against Gateway Regional  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Triton, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Clearview  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
