Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Geneva Eagles

The Lakeside Dragons will square off against the Geneva Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lakeside is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Tuesday. They came up short against Madison, falling 10-2.

Lakeside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Westerfield, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Conner Koski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Geneva was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 7-1 to Lake Catholic.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Lakeside couldn't quite get it done against Geneva in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 17-13. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
