Baseball Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the Black River Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 on Monday.

Anthony Rados made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Black River, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Wellington is taking a road trip to take on Elyria Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Black River, they will challenge Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
