Basketball Game Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Royal Palm Beach Wildcats

Glades Central is 2-8 against Royal Palm Beach since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Glades Central Raiders will face off against the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Glades Central is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Pahokee on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Glades Central lost 37-13 to Pahokee. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered against the Blue Devils since January 26, 2021.

Meanwhile, Royal Palm Beach posted their closest win since December 7, 2023 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oxbridge Academy, sneaking past 28-25.

Royal Palm Beach is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Glades Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Glades Central came up short against Royal Palm Beach in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 43-31. Can Glades Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
