Volleyball Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

Smyrna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dover Senators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Senators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

Smyrna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Dover, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Coming up, Smyrna will challenge Sussex Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Seahawks at the right time seeing as the Seahawks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Dover, they will welcome Odessa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
