Forest Lake had won four straight at home, but  on Monday they bumped their record up to 6-5 to make it five. They came out on top against the Woodbury Royals by a score of  11-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rangers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
As for Woodbury,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at six games  and leaves them with a 10-5 record. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for they, who until this  contest were averaging 3.4  runs allowed.
 For Woodbury's part,  Jack Gessner and  Elliott Kiel did some serious damage despite the final result:  Gessner  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, while  Kiel  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That  home run was  Gessner's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyler LaMott, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Lake will host Anoka  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Woodbury, they will square off against White Bear Lake at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
