Basketball Game Preview: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Honey Grove Warriors

The Tom Bean Tomcats will challenge the Honey Grove Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tom Bean is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Ford just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 28-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tomcats have suffered since November 12th.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Taylor Vick, who posted 12 points. Sam Lind was another key player, putting up four points along with seven boards and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Honey Grove had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 41-31 win over the Bulldogs.

Tom Bean's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Honey Grove, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Tom Bean came up short against Honey Grove in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-38. Can Tom Bean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
