Forest is 9-1 against Lake Weir since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Forest Wildcats will take on the Lake Weir Hurricanes in a tournament on Wednesday.

Forest will head out to face Lake Weir after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. The game between Forest and Sarasota didn't end well, with Forest falling 64-45.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Weir). They took down Dunnellon 71-56 on Tuesday.

Lake Weir's win came from a few key players Forest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Antonio Jackson, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amar Young, who posted 16 points and three steals.

Lake Weir smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Lake Weir is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Forest, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

Everything went Forest's way against Lake Weir in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Forest made off with a 73-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
