Basketball Recap: Narragansett Takes a Loss

Narragansett lost against North Kingstown back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Narragansett Mariners fell 65-56 to the North Kingstown Skippers.

North Kingstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Bodington led the charge by going 7-for-14 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and five boards. North Kingstown is undefeated when Bodington posts 20 or more points, but 4-12 otherwise. Jake Perry was another key player, going 6-for-8 en route to 14 points.

Narragansett has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for North Kingstown, their record is now 7-12.

Narragansett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-51 loss against North Providence on the 8th. As for North Kingstown, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-40 victory against Cranston East on the 10th.
