Foard is 6-1 against Alexander Central since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Foard is headed out to face Alexander Central after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Tigers blew past West Iredell 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Foard never let West Iredell on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-8, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Alexander Central had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Draughn, sneaking past 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Alexander Central who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 24-26, 15-10.

Everything went Foard's way against Alexander Central in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Foard made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
