Volleyball Recap: Americas Comes Up Short

Americas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Tomball Memorial Wildcats.

Despite the defeat, Americas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Avila had 14 digs. Avila has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Americas' loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tomball Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Americas has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hutto on the 23rd. As for Tomball Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mansfield Legacy on the 23rd.
