Soccer Game Preview: Universal Academy vs. Northside Christian

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Universal Academy Falcons will welcome the Northside Christian Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Universal Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Universal Academy is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Cristo Rey Tampa back in December of 2024. Universal Academy and Cristo Rey Tampa finished up their contest with a 3-3 draw. The only reason the Falcons dodged a loss was the performance of Baraa Ahmed, who scored every single goal for the team.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 6. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Cambridge Christian an easy 5-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Lancers are ranked 141st).

Universal Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 3-6-1. As for Northside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2.
