Basketball Game Preview: Galesburg-Augusta Rams vs. Kellogg Panthers

The Galesburg-Augusta Rams will head out on the road to take on the Kellogg Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Galesburg-Augusta sitting on 12 straight wins and Kellogg on six.

Last Tuesday, Galesburg-Augusta blew past Constantine, posting a 69-42 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Kellogg beat Martin 50-37 on Friday.

Kellogg pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Galesburg-Augusta, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Galesburg-Augusta was able to grind out a solid win over Kellogg when the teams last played back in January, winning 58-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Galesburg-Augusta since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
