Football Recap: Saugus Comes Up Short

Saugus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Cowboys.

Jodie Noche had an outrageously good game for Canyon as she threw for 202 yards and three TDs while completing 89.7% of her passes, and also rushed for 78 yards on only eight carries. A healthy portion of Noche's aerial production (116 yards to be exact) went to Isabella Ramos.

Saugus' loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Saugus has already played their next matchup, a 20-6 victory against Golden Valley on the 20th. As for Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-6 defeat against Valencia on the 20th.
