Football Game Preview: Christian Community Colts vs. Freedom C Cowboys

The Christian Community Colts will square off against the Freedom C Cowboys on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Christian Community is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They strolled past TN T with points to spare, taking the game 26-8. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Colts were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom C). They breezed past South Haven Christian to the tune of 58-22 on Friday. With the Cowboys ahead 42-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Christian Community better keep an eye on Jalen Venter. He was instrumental in Freedom C's win, rushing for 192 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 22 yards and one touchdown. Venter is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 123 every time he's taken the field this season.

Freedom C was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Christian Community's record now sits at 8-3. As for Freedom C, their record is now 9-3.

Christian Community was taken down by Freedom C 66-28 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
