Recap: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Vero Beach Indians

With a playoff game on the line, the Treasure Coast Titans rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 21-12 victory over the Indians. The victory was familiar territory for Treasure Coast who now have five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was George Roberts, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

The team's defense also helped out by holding Vero Beach to a paltry 208 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Treasure Coast's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out 8.5 times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Omari Kinsler and Richard Kramer who racked up 5.5 sacks between them.

Vero Beach's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Aronson, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown. Aronson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.

Treasure Coast has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for Vero Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Treasure Coast has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. DeLand has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 134 points over their last three contests. Vero Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
