Basketball Recap: South Cobb Comes Up Short

South Cobb was the 77-73 winner over Hillgrove when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The South Cobb Eagles fell 64-57 to the Hillgrove Hawks on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillgrove was led to victory by Bryson Jatta and Cowyn Glass. Jatta dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Glass went 5-for-12 to rack up 18 points and three steals. Jatta is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of TaRenz Collins, who posted seven points.

South Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Hillgrove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.

South Cobb does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillgrove, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-58 loss against McEachern on the 13th.
