York can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past the Milford Eagles 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Dukes, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Lauryn Mattox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in home runs. Mattox was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.

York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only posted a batting average of .176.
York's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Milford, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 7-5.
York will welcome Highway 6 at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they will venture away from home to face off against Fairbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairbury will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Milford surely won't give up without a fight.
