Volleyball Recap: Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers vs. Kiel Raiders
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was the 2-0 winner over Kiel when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blazers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Saturday.
Kiley Dhein paced Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's offense, picking up three kills. Dhein got some help from Olivia Kirchner and her eight assists.
Kiel was led to victory by Ava Rothe and Syndey Crom. Rothe had 16 assists and eight digs, while Crom had seven digs. Rothe has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last nine times she's played.
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Kiel, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pulaski on the 20th. As for Kiel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Oconto Falls on the 20th.
