Basketball Recap: Palos Verdes Has No Trouble Against Peninsula

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Redondo Union, Palos Verdes was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-27 margin over the Peninsula Panthers. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Panthers are ranked 670th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palos Verdes' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 12-10. As for Peninsula, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Palos Verdes will challenge Cabrillo at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Peninsula, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Redondo Union at 7:00 p.m.
