Andrew Brooks posted a new career-low in walks on Tuesday. Despite the loss, he was still locked in as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Brooks and Fort Meade will take on Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Brooks' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Miners' three-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Brooks and the Miners surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Wednesday's match.
