Volleyball Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Plateau Valley Cowboys        
        
		
             North Fork lost against Plateau Valley back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The North Fork Miners fell just short of the Plateau Valley Cowboys by a score of  3-2. The Miners have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 North Fork took Plateau Valley into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 21-25, 27-25,  15-11.
 When it comes to explaining why North Fork lost, don't look at  Ryaunna Rhoades. Despite the final result, she  had 22  digs. Rhoades is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in the last seven games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Even though they lost, North Fork  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 13  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least eight  aces in four consecutive  contests.
 Among those leading the charge was   Abigail Schroeder, who  had 12  digs.
 North Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Plateau Valley,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-5.
 North Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  victory vs. Monte Vista on the 13th. Plateau Valley has also already played their next game,  a  3-0  win against North Park on the 13th.
