Basketball Game Preview: Floyd Central Highlanders vs. Scottsburg Warriors + How To Watch

Floyd Central is 2-7 against Scottsburg since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Highlanders are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Floyd Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-32 to Charlestown.

Meanwhile, Scottsburg played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Bedford North Lawrence, falling 61-34. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Floyd Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Scottsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Floyd Central's way against Scottsburg in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Floyd Central made off with a 57-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
