Wild Rose has gone a perfect 6-0 against Tigerton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wild Rose hadn't beaten Tri-County on the road since October 1, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Penguins by a score of 3-1.
Wild Rose had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-17.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tigerton took on Bowler on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Tigerton was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.
Tigerton's win came from a few key players Wild Rose will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Danika Tiller, who had ten assists and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Lederhaus, who had ten digs and three aces.
Tigerton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive contests.
Wild Rose's record is now 5-6. As for Tigerton, their record now sits at 9-5.
Wild Rose took their win against Tigerton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
