Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Comes Up Short

Tabernacle Christian extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were dealt a 56-16 loss at the hands of Gospel Light Christian. The game marked the Conquerors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Tabernacle Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emma Crouse posted 11 points.

As for Gospel Light Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. That looming 56-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Gospel Light Christian found their leader in freshman Brooklyn Miller, who shot 61% from the field on her way to 26 points and four steals. Miller also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 57%. Another player making a difference was Maggie Jo Church, who scored eight points and eight rebounds.

Looking ahead, Tabernacle Christian will square off against Liberty Christian at 5:15 p.m. on December 2. As for Gospel Light Christian, they will challenge Vandalia Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
