Volleyball Recap: Sterling City Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Charley Wilson and Kambri Mccabe

If Sterling City was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Christoval on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Miles Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Sterling City was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Miles work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 28-13.

Sterling City's loss came despite strong showings from Kambri McCabe and Charley Wilson. McCabe had 14 digs and three aces, while Wilson had 11 kills and two aces. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Caldwell, who had 15 assists and five digs.

Sterling City's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Miles, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11.
