Volleyball Recap: Denver City Takes a Loss

Denver City lost against Hereford back in August of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Whitefaces by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denver City was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hereford work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-20, 27-25, 21-25, 15-12.

Kyndall Valdez was nothing short of spectacular for Hereford: she had 33 digs and two aces. What's more, Valdez posted four assists, the most she's had over her last seven matches. Kaydence Ramirez was another key player, getting 14 digs and three assists.

Denver City's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Hereford, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denver City will take on Idalou at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hereford, they will face off against Bushland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
