Baseball Recap: Leake Central Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Leake Central's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Neshoba Central Rockets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Neshoba Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Leake Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Lauderdale at 5:00 p.m. on March 3. As for Neshoba Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Kosciusko on the 21st.
