Volleyball Recap: Winslow Starts Season with Win Against Chino Valley + How To Watch

Winslow took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chino Valley Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Winslow walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Tamia Haskie paced Winslow's offense, picking up eight kills. Haskie got some help from Keira Barton and her 20 assists. Natilyn Nez controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Winslow and Blue Ridge will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Chino Valley, they will square off against Apache Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
