Football Game Preview: Cocoa Tigers vs. The Villages Charter Buffalo + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Cocoa will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against The Villages Charter Buffalo at 7:00 p.m.

Cocoa is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Norland last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers lost 28-6 to the Vikings. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, The Villages Charter strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Astronaut, posting a 35-0 win. Give the Buffalo's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

The Villages Charter's win came from a few key players Cocoa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tranard Roberts, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD. Those 85 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Antwon Johnson, who rushed for 106 yards on only ten carries.

Cocoa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for The Villages Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Cocoa against The Villages Charter in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-0 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Buffalo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
