Recap: North Hardin Christian Falcons vs. Iroquois Raiders
The North Hardin Christian Falcons couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Iroquois by a score of 44-41.
Iroquois found their leader in underclassman Maliyah Poindexter, who scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Poindexter has scored at least 25% of Iroquois' points. Fifi Munezero was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 14 rebounds and 7 blocks.
North Hardin Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Iroquois, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Hardin Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Knox at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Iroquois, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Waggener at 5:45 p.m.
