Softball Game Preview: South Sevier Rams vs. Parowan Rams

South Sevier has gone 6-1 against Parowan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. South Sevier will head out to square off against Parowan at 3:30 p.m. South Sevier is coming into the match hot, having won their last 15 games.

On Tuesday, South Sevier got the win against Kanab by a conclusive 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Kaitlyn Lynch looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kinsey Parsons was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Nielson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

South Sevier hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Parowan was able to grind out a solid victory over West on Monday, taking the game 9-5.

South Sevier pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Parowan, their record now sits at 3-18.

South Sevier took their win against Parowan in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Sevier since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
