Baseball Preview: Meade County Green Waves vs. Bullitt Central Cougars
The Meade County Green Waves will head out to square off against the Bullitt Central Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meade County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Things were looking good for Meade County after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Corydon Central by a score of 7-6.
Meade County got a good showing from Ethan Jolly, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Jolly a new career-low.
At the plate, Josiah Pierce made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Tristan Cockerill, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Bullitt Central didn't have quite enough to beat Breckinridge County on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
