Baseball Game Preview: Tremont Turks vs. Milledgeville Missiles

The Tremont Turks will challenge the Milledgeville Missiles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Milledgeville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tremont, who comes in off a win.

Tremont's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Riverdale. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Turks.

Chase Rhodes made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rhodes was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Andrew Dawson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Reese Hnilicka was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Tremont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverdale only posted a batting average of .053.

Meanwhile, Milledgeville came up short against Midland on Friday and fell 6-3.

Milledgeville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. Tremont has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.
