Softball Recap: Markesan Comes Up Short

Markesan was the 14-7 winner over Berlin when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Indians on Saturday, falling 19-5. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ali Kirker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Markesan's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Berlin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Markesan will welcome Randolph at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Berlin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
