Softball Recap: Powers Catholic Takes a Loss

Midland hit Powers Catholic with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chargers came up short against the Chemics, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Powers Catholic and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Midland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-6.

Coming up, Powers Catholic will head out to challenge Swartz Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Midland, they will take on Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
