Basketball Recap: South O'brien's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

South O'Brien had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 win over the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolverines considering their 25-point performance the match before.

South O'Brien's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Mary's the next time they take the court. South O'Brien will host St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
